FAQ
Q: Where are your bodies manufactured?
A: Our Repli-Tub Jeep bodies are manufactured in the Philippines by a company with more than 40 years of experience in the Jeep market, then shipped to our facility in Scranton, Pennsylvania, where they are re-engineered and perfected by Jeep enthusiasts. With over 30 years of expertise, we ensure precise fitment, correct hole placement, and true bolt-on ease, delivering a level of quality and craftsmanship that simply can’t be matched by foreign manufacturers alone.
Q: Will your Jeep body fit?
A: Yes! Our Repli-Tubs are engineered to save you dozens of hours of drilling, grinding, welding, and modifying by bringing the body back to true factory specifications. As long as your Jeep’s chassis is solid (not bent, rotten, heavily repaired, or altered) and the body mounts are in their correct locations, the tub will bolt directly onto the frame. In fact, the Repli-Tub is the only vintage Jeep body on the market designed and built to fit your chassis right out of the box.
Q: Can I return your body if it doesn’t fit my chassis?
A: While it has never happened in our history, our Repli-Tub Jeep replacement body CAN be returned for a full refund if it does not fit directly to your original chassis.
Q: Can I come visit your operation before I purchase a new body?
A: Absolutely! We welcome visitors to our facility and are happy to show you around. Many customers like to see and touch a Repli-Tub in person before ordering, and we always enjoy the chance to “talk Jeep.” If you’re close by, you also have the option to pick up your Repli-Tub directly from our shop.
Q: Is your body the same thickness metal as the original?
A: Yes, our replacement Jeep bodies are 16 gauge and 18 gauge in the places where each is appropriate.
Q: Should I repair my original body or replace it with your Repli-Tub?
A: If your Jeep’s original body only needs a few minor patch panels, repair can work—but in reality, that’s extremely rare. Jeeps were built as rugged utility vehicles, and after decades of exposure to dirt, salt, snow, rain, and hard use, most original tubs are hiding rust in places you won’t see until it’s too late. Even if patched, those weak spots often return. That’s why we recommend sandblasting first to uncover the real condition and why so many owners ultimately choose a Repli-Tub. With a Repli-Tub, you avoid endless hidden repairs and get a factory-spec body that bolts on and lasts for decades.
Q: What if you don’t have the part I need currently in stock?
A: As the world’s largest seller of new Jeep bodies, we work hard to keep tubs, fenders, windshield frames, hoods, tailgates, and grilles in stock. If the part you need isn’t on our shelf today, we’ll go above and beyond to locate it for you. Our team is always ready to help, so don’t hesitate to reach out with questions about availability.
Q: How can you stock “new OEM parts” for 50-year-old vehicles?
A: Over the years, we’ve purchased parts overruns and old stock and built up a warehouse full of hard-to-find treasures. Today, our inventory includes OEM parts, quality reproductions, rebuilds, and used pieces, giving us one of the most complete selections available. No matter how old your Jeep or what part you need, chances are we have it in stock… and if not, we can get it fast.
Q: Are you the same Willys-Overland company that started manufacturing vehicles in the early 1900s?
A: No. The original Willys manufacturing legacy ended in the mid-1960s when Kaiser-Jeep retired the name and phased out the line. In the mid-1970s, the Willys-Overland Motors name was revived by a new company focused on sourcing and reselling hard-to-find Willys and Jeep parts, continuing the heritage in a different way by keeping these classic vehicles alive.
Q: How do I receive my Repli-Tub?
A: You can either pick up your new Repli-Tub directly from our Scranton, PA warehouse or have it shipped right to your door. For shipping, we hand-craft a custom crate from more than 25 2x4s to match your specific tub, then wrap it in heavy cardboard for extra protection.
