NOS CJ7 Tub Auction

The Proverbial “Brand New Jeep In A Crate” (almost)

Current High Bid:
$7000 as of 8/31/2006 3:55PM EST

When I bought this company almost 9 years ago, the biggest treasure, nearly lost in the huge warehouse, were hundreds of original Jeep-factory stamped parts, to build CJ7. imageimageimage

imageNot aftermarket CJ7, but original CJ7, right down to the “Joop” embossed on the side panels. Within days we were actually building Original CJ7...in 1998. As you can imagine, those treasures were scooped up by collectors, enthusiasts and restorers as quickly as we could build them. While it is true that towards the end, a few parts had to be substituted with Mopar original YJ parts, the quality, fit, and look of these bodies was extraordinary. And yes, they were all sold.

Amazingly, a few weeks ago, I got a call from someone who had purchased one of these gems for a restoration project. Sadly, it seems, before the project even got started, the vehicle was destroyed in an accident, and our New Old Stock body never even made it out of the shipping crate. I have offered to help them sell this “last CJ7 ever built”, and the body is now back in our shop in Toledo. And that brings us up to today.

We have decided to have a “silent auction” for anyone interested in owning this beauty. The minimum opening bid will be $5,000. Anyone interested will simply send us an e-mail, or call us with their bid. Every day, before we leave for the day, we will post on our website what the current high bid is. Also, during normal business hours, you can call to find out what the current high bid is. Any new bid must be at least $10 above the previous high bid. For those of you living close by, I invite you to come take a look at this body.

As an added bonus, this body is even “E-Coated” ....that is electro-statically primed in a dip tank. This is the latest, 21st Century process, used by every auto manufacturer, on every body part manufactured today. There is not further priming required.

On August 31, 2006, at precisely 5:00 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time, the current high bidder will become the owner of this Jeep tub. The body can be picked up here in Toledo, or we will be happy to quote you a shipping cost, and crate it and ship it to the winner. Of course, during the auction, we will be happy to answer any questions that you may have.
